The regulator makes it possible to absorb the paint pressure fluctuations (pulsation effect) generated by the supply system and to set the target flow precisely. For a given regulator control air pressure, the flow also depends on the pressure drop downstream of the regulator (towards the nebulizer): hose diameter, flow restrictor size, nebulizer-injector and product viscosity.
