Description
The Burkert Type 8745 is a mass flow controller (MFC) or mass flow meter (MFM) specifically designed for controlling and measuring large gas flow rates. Depending on the application, the device can be configured as an MFM or an MFC, with up to four calibration curves optionally stored in the device.
Measurement is performed by a thermal inline sensor positioned directly in the main gas stream. It achieves very fast response times combined with minimal pressure loss. A direct-acting proportional valve from Burkert serves as the final control element, ensuring high response sensitivity. In the MFC version, the Type 8745 is available with either an electromagnetic or an electric motorized proportional valve, so the actuator can be selected to suit the respective application.
For communication, the Type 8745 offers several options: in addition to an analog version, an industrial Ethernet version and a Modbus RTU version are available, allowing the device to be integrated into a wide variety of plant and automation concepts.
