Description
The Burkert Type 3360 electric motor-driven angle seat control valve was developed specifically for demanding control tasks. The control cone is driven via a ball screw spindle, which allows very high positioning accuracy. With an actuating speed of up to 6 mm/s, the valve responds to process signals virtually without delay; this speed can also be adjusted to customer-specific requirements. Another advantage: pressure fluctuations and pressure surges in the medium do not affect the valve stroke, so control remains stable. In the event of a power supply failure, an optional energy store can be fitted to safely move the valve to its defined fail-safe position.
By design, the actuator and valve body form a closed system with a robust, smooth surface. This allows the Type 3360 to be cleaned quickly and without residue, meeting hygienic requirements. Protection rating IP65/IP67 together with high resistance to impact and vibration make the valve suitable for use under harsh ambient conditions as well. A self-adjusting stem seal with replaceable chevron packings ensures long-term tightness and a long service life. Since the control valve is fieldbus-capable, it also supports process monitoring, valve diagnostics and preventive maintenance – important functions for modern, digitalized automation.
