Description
This version of the Type 2103 is also an externally piloted 2-way diaphragm valve consisting of a pneumatically actuated piston actuator, a diaphragm, and a 2-way valve body. The robust stainless steel actuator housing allows use under both hygienic and aggressive conditions, while the flow-optimized, low dead-volume valve bodies provide high flow rates and a wide range of applications. Valve bodies and diaphragms are available in all common materials and versions.
The actuator features a compact, autoclavable design with a large-area stainless steel enclosure and gap-free seals. ELEMENT automation units can be integrated and retrofitted at all levels of configuration, optionally with an integrated fieldbus interface. An explosion-protected ATEX/IECEx device version is also available.
The result is a compact, smooth-surfaced, highly integrated system consisting of valve and automation unit with integrated pilot air channels – there is no need to draw in ambient air. The diaphragm base is available either in plastic or as a 360° rotatable stainless steel version. Protection ratings IP65/67 and NEMA Type 4X are met, as is the requirement for high chemical resistance.
