Description
When control tasks need to be reliably solved under difficult operating conditions, Burkert's Type 3360 electric motor control valve is the answer. At its core is an angle seat valve whose control cone is driven via a ball screw spindle — an actuator solution that enables exceptionally precise positioning. Notable is the actuating speed of up to 6 mm/s: this allows the valve to respond to process signals with virtually no delay, and the speed can be individually adjusted to suit the respective application. Pressure fluctuations or pressure surges in the medium likewise have no effect on the stroke of the angle seat valve, so control quality remains constant. For safety-related applications, an energy storage unit can optionally be integrated that automatically moves the valve to the defined fail-safe position in the event of a power failure.
Actuator and valve form a structural unit with a sealed, robust surface that can be cleaned quickly and without residue, thereby meeting hygienic requirements. Thanks to protection class IP65/IP67 and high resistance to shock and vibration, Type 3360 is also suitable for harsh environments. The proven, self-adjusting stem packing with replaceable chevron seals ensures lasting tightness and a long service life. Because the valve is fieldbus-capable, it provides the operator with numerous functions for process monitoring, valve diagnostics, and preventive maintenance — a clear added value for modern process automation.
