Description
The Type 8805 combines a 90° quarter-turn valve – available either as a ball valve or as a butterfly valve – with a pneumatic quarter-turn actuator. This design is suitable for shut-off and control tasks in which a 90° rotary motion is used to open and close the valve. The actuator is available in both single-acting and double-acting versions, allowing it to be flexibly adapted to the respective control task and available compressed air supply.
For a complete automation solution, the Type 8805 can be supplemented with additional components: positioners of Types 8791, 8792, 8793, 8691, 8692, 8693, or 8694 provide continuous control of the valve position, a pilot valve of Type 6519 controls the actuator's air supply, and position feedback units of Type 1061 provide reliable feedback on whether the valve is in the open or closed position. This allows the quarter-turn actuator to be individually expanded to suit the respective plant concept.
