Description
Burkert Type 6240 is a servo-assisted piston valve designed as a compact unit up to nominal size DN 13. To increase pressure and leakage safety, the plug and core tube have been welded together. Depending on the application, various seal material combinations are available, while the shape and surface quality of the body are designed for maximum flow rates.
The coils used are overmolded with a chemically highly resistant epoxy. An optional sliding ring bearing can extend the service life of the valve when used with dry gases. A rigidly coupled piston system ensures reliable opening, while the coil system itself is screwed on and designed to be vibration-resistant.
To reduce electrical power consumption during operation, Burkert offers coils with integrated Kick-and-Drop electronics in dual-coil technology. In addition, Type 6240 is also available in explosion-protected variants.
