Gemue 1034 Full face flange with solvent cement socket
The Gemue 1034 is the plastic flange for Gemue plastic valves: a backing flange with stub end that connects a butterfly, diaphragm or globe valve to flanged pipework. We are an authorised specialist dealer for Gemue and stock 117 configured variants of this series, matching among others the plastic butterfly valves 410, 417 and 423.
Flange instead of union
The union (Gemue 1035) is the compact connection for small and medium nominal sizes. The flange comes into its own where the plant is flanged anyway, where larger nominal sizes are involved, or where a valve has to be removable without dismantling the adjacent pipe. Backing flange plus stub end means the flange ring turns freely and the bolt holes can be aligned during installation without twisting the pipe.
Nominal sizes and bolt patterns
The series covers DN 15 to DN 100 in PN 10. Two bolt patterns are available: EN 1092, PN 10, form B – the European standard – and the ANSI flange for plants to American standards or for connecting imported equipment. The patterns are not interchangeable; which one you need is decided by the mating part in the line.
Materials
Three versions: PVC-U grey for water, acids and alkalis in the usual temperature range, PP grey for higher temperatures, PVDF for aggressive media and ultrapure water. The material should suit both the valve and the pipe – mixing is possible but calls for attention to thermal expansion and tightening torque.
Special versions and spare parts
Some variants carry a K number: PP flange with steel insert and a PVC stub end cemented to the valve for higher bolt loads, versions with cemented PVC parts, parts cleaned for ultrapure media and sealed in film, and versions cleaned for paint compatibility. For a replacement, the existing Gemue part number is enough for us.
