Water fittings and irrigation equipment
Water makes different demands than compressed air: drinking-water suitability, hygiene and corrosion behaviour come before flow. The branch holds 161 items in six groups, from claw coupling to spray nozzle. Drinking water: material before design
For contact with drinking water there are the 13 items under claw couplings for drinking water: CW617N brass, NBR seal, PN 25 bar. CW617N is the dezincification-resistant brass customary in drinking-water installations — here the choice of material is not a matter of price but of approval.
Strict hygiene requirements
Where strict hygiene requirements apply beyond drinking water, the 11 items under versions for strict hygiene requirements take over: chrome steel similar to 1.4401 with FKM seal, PN 25 bar. This is the version for food environments and areas cleaned regularly with aggressive agents. Related stainless technology sits under process industry.
Irrigation and watering wands
For irrigation there are 42 watering wands, mostly in chemically nickel-plated brass and aluminium, usually PN 16 bar and sealed with NBR. The typical connection is G 3/4 female on 20 items; hose barb sizes 13, 16, 19 and 25 are also covered, so garden hose and industrial hose can both be connected.
Pressure ratings and connection types
Pressure ratings are lower than in pneumatics: PN 16 bar on 86 items, PN 25 bar on 43, PN 10 bar on 25. Among the seals NBR leads with 64 items ahead of EPDM with 29 — EPDM wherever hot water or cleaning agents are involved.
