airclean series
The airclean series is ewo's filter programme for high air quality: three stages, colour-coded, in painted aluminium housings. Red is the pre-filter (99.99 % from 1 µm), blue the microfilter (0.01 µm), black the activated carbon filter (0.003 mg/m³ residual oil). Two sizes, 50 and 60, cover G ¼ to G ¾ and flows from 583 to 3,666 l/min.
How the series is built up
All three filter stages share the same design: housing and bowl in painted aluminium, stainless steel support core, NBR seal, flow from the inside out. They can be coupled into rows of two or three housings by connection sets – ready-assembled, these rows are called combinations. For small connections there is the G ¼ maintenance unit, for complete take-off points the G ½ filter regulator station with regulator and distribution block. Pre- and microfilters are optionally available with a differential pressure gauge.

What distinguishes airclean from the standard and variobloc series?
airclean is a pure filter series: three filter stages in aluminium housings, colour-coded, with borosilicate microglass fibre elements. standard and variobloc cover the whole programme of filter, regulator and lubricator. If you need air quality, take airclean; if you have to set working pressure and lubricate, take the other two.
What do VF, MF and AF stand for?
Pre-filter, microfilter and activated carbon filter – the three stages of the series. In the combinations they appear as abbreviations: VF – MF, MF – AF and VF – MF – AF.
Do I always need all three stages?
No. The consumer decides: tools and cylinders manage with the pre-filter, oil-free control air additionally needs the microfilter, and only odour and oil vapour requirements make the activated carbon filter necessary.
