Turck sensors
Sensors are Turck's largest field of work. The engineering office that started in Mülheim an der Ruhr in 1960 with inductive proximity switches has grown into a programme covering every physical measured variable: position and distance, pressure, temperature, flow, level, inclination and vibration. We structure the area the way Turck does – every sensor type gets its own level. We start with the pressure sensors, 3,316 items; the other sensor types will follow.
Pressure sensors
The Turck pressure sensors are the first listed area: pressure transmitters with current or voltage output and electronic pressure switches with display and IO-Link, from vacuum to over 1,000 bar, with a ceramic or fully welded metal measuring cell, with protection up to IP69K. They measure in hydraulic units, pneumatic circuits, pumps and process lines and in most plants are the first sensor to be replaced.
What else Turck builds in sensors
Inductive and capacitive proximity switches are still the backbone of the programme, joined by photoelectric sensors and light barriers, magnetic field sensors for pneumatic cylinders, ultrasonic and radar sensors for distance and level, linear position sensors and encoders for position and angle, inclinometers and sensors for temperature and flow. Much of it comes with IO-Link and can be parameterised and diagnosed over the same cable.
Connection, evaluation and protection class
Turck sensors almost always carry an M12 connector, many an IO-Link interface as well; cable versions and DIN EN 175301-803 valve connectors are available for classic wiring. For washdown and food areas Turck offers stainless steel housings with IP69K, for hazardous areas ATEX versions.
