Pipe interiors are difficult to access, yet require a high degree of cleanliness before any coating. Clemco's inner pipe blasting units combine complete coverage of the pipe interior with precise, efficient operation: the unit is attached to the blast hose and pulled from one end of the pipe to the other, while Clemco's patented blasting technology directs a consistent 360° abrasive stream onto the interior surfaces, leaving a uniform blast profile.

This category features four units for pipe diameters from 19mm to 1500mm - from the small Hollo-Blast Junior for narrow lines to the powerful Spin-XL for large industrial pipes.

Choosing the Right Unit by Pipe Diameter

Together, the four units cover pipe diameters from 19mm to 1500mm - depending on size and application, we recommend:

Hollo-Blast Junior (Ø 19-50mm): compact entry-level unit, connects directly to the blast machine
Hollo-Blast (Ø 65-300mm): available with or without centering device, in tungsten carbide or boron carbide
Spin-Blast (Ø 200-915mm): rotating blast head, available with or without carriage
Spin-XL (Ø 400-1500mm): pneumatic motor drive, various carriage sizes for large industrial pipes

Note on Scope of Delivery: Nozzle and Holder Often Separate

Several units in this category are deliberately supplied without a nozzle or nozzle holder, since the right choice depends on the pipe diameter and the desired blast pattern: the Hollo-Blast Junior without nozzle holder, the Spin-Blast without nozzles and the Spin-XL without nozzle. The matching accessories are listed individually with each item and available separately - feel free to contact us for help choosing.

Safety & PPE

Even with inner pipe blasting, hearing protection, respiratory protection and suitable protective clothing remain mandatory for the operator - the units are operated from outside the pipe, but dust and abrasive rebound released during blasting can escape near the pipe opening.

For confined or hard-to-reach work sites (e.g. pits, shafts or narrow piping systems), the applicable regulations for working in confined spaces must also be observed - the relevant operational requirements have not been researched for this product group; please contact us if needed.

Which unit fits my pipe diameter?

As a rough guide: Hollo-Blast Junior for 19-50mm, Hollo-Blast for 65-300mm, Spin-Blast for 200-915mm and Spin-XL for 400-1500mm. Since the ranges overlap, we're happy to advise you individually on the right choice.

Why are some units supplied without a nozzle or nozzle holder?

Because the right nozzle size or nozzle holder depends on the exact pipe diameter, the thread of your existing blast machine and the desired abrasive - this way you select exactly the accessory that fits your application, instead of paying for the wrong size.

What is the difference between Hollo-Blast with and without centering?

The version with centering (HBC-1/HBC-2) delivers a more consistent blast pattern and is generally recommended by Clemco. The version without centering is a lower-cost base version for applications without high consistency requirements.

Can I use a larger carriage with the Spin-XL later on?

Yes - the base unit comes with the 400-580mm carriage, and for larger pipe diameters we also offer it pre-combined with a larger carriage (580-800mm or 790-1500mm). Feel free to contact us about retrofitting as well.
