Turck Control Technology
Turck has been building technology for factory, process and logistics automation since 1960. This branch holds everything that signals at the machine and links field and controller: signal lights, push buttons and work lights in the indicators and lighting area, plus I/O modules, bus components and signal isolators in fieldbus and interface technology – together 2,314 items in 13 categories. We have adopted the structure of the Turck catalogue.
Signal lights and indicator lights
Within Turck indicators and lighting the signal lights are the best-known group with 421 items in nine series: tower lights with up to five segments and multifunction indicators, optionally with an audible alarm. Smaller and more direct are the LED indicator lights (244 items) as dome, puck or rectangular housing and the threaded-barrel indicators (81), which are screwed into a bore like a proximity switch. For signalling on the cabinet door, pilot lights are available under Siemens commanding and signalling devices.
Push buttons, pick-to-light and work lights
Where the operator has to acknowledge, the touch and push buttons come in: 127 items, mostly capacitive buttons that trigger without force and are insensitive to cleaning agents and oils. The pick-to-light sensors (34) lead the picker to the right compartment and confirm the pick. The LED work lights (516) illuminate machine, control cabinet and workstation as linear, spot and area lights.
Fieldbus and interface technology
Turck fieldbus technology comprises 607 items in four categories: IP67 I/O modules for field mounting (304), IP20 I/O systems for the control cabinet (158), bus components for process automation (90) and excom system enclosures for hazardous areas (55). Turck interface technology with 284 items isolates and converts signals between field and controller: isolating switching amplifiers (98), transducers and power supply isolators (128) and frequency monitors and output modules (58). Where devices sit in hazardous areas, zone classification and proof of intrinsic safety remain the responsibility of the operator.
