Signal Lights

This is where the Turck LED signal lights live – tower lights, compact beacons and multifunction indicators for machines, control cabinets and production lines. The range covers 421 items in nine series, from the single-colour indicator to the five-segment tower with an audible signal device. All of them use LEDs, are maintenance-free and come in protection classes IP50 to IP67.

Tower light, compact beacon or multifunction indicator

The classic tower light stacks up to five colour segments: TL50 is the standard series at 50 mm diameter, TL50H the same shape in a high-intensity version for bright halls and outdoor use, TL50C a shortened compact tower. TL70 is modular – the segments plug together, their order can be changed later and the tower extended. TL30B covers tight spaces at 30 mm, and CL50 is the compact design that needs no separate controller.

The type code reads from the bottom up

The letters after the series give the colour sequence, starting at the foot of the tower: TL50GYRQ means green, yellow, red. Ten colours are available – blue (B), green (G), red (R), yellow (Y), white (W), turquoise (T), orange (O), violet (V), sky blue (S) and magenta (M). A digit after the colour stands for the light function: no digit means steady, 1 rotating, 2 flashing. The trailing letters describe the audible signal and the connection type. Connection, protection class and operating voltage

Connection is made via an M12 x 1 connector, a permanently attached cable or a terminal block in the base. Protection runs from IP50 for cabinet mounting to IP67 for washdown and outdoor use. On the supply side 18…30 VDC and 12…30 VDC are the rule, with versions for 21…27 VAC and 85…264 VAC alongside. TL50BL is the series with a base module that determines the connection – the same tower can be converted between cable and connector without swapping the segments.

Audible signal

226 of the 421 items include an audible signal device. The characteristic ranges from a continuous tone through pulsed and staccato to versions with adjustable intensity or a selectable tone; volume is between 92 and 101 dB depending on the type. TL50Z and TL50BLZ are the series with an integrated sounder. Whether you need an audible signal depends on the noise level where the unit is installed – in loud halls a visual indication alone often does not carry far enough.
