Radar sees where optics and ultrasound give up: through dust, fog, rain and vapour, and over distances beyond 100 m. The sensors work in the 24 GHz or 60 GHz band, with beam angles from a narrow ±2.5° for targeted single-point measurement to elliptical lobes for area monitoring. They detect motion, distance or both.
