Photoelectric sensors
Photoelectric sensors detect objects without contact using light – on conveyors, in packaging machines, on racks and doors. We list 4,926 SICK items, organised by functional principle and design.
Which functional principle?
The photoelectric proximity sensor needs no counterpart and evaluates the light reflected by the object itself; with background suppression it ignores everything beyond the set sensing range. The retro-reflective sensor works against a reflector and covers longer distances. The through-beam sensor with separate transmitter and receiver offers the longest range and the highest excess gain.
Rectangular or cylindrical?
Rectangular sensors (W and G series) range from miniature sensors to rugged metal housings. Cylindrical sensors with M18 thread (V18, GR18, H18, Z18) fit standard bores and holders. For roller conveyors there are the Roller Sensor Bar and ZoneControl, for racks and gaps the Reflex Arrays.
