Combinations
The combinations of the airclean series are ready-assembled filter rows: VF – MF (pre- and microfilter), MF – AF (micro- and activated carbon filter) and VF – MF – AF (all three stages). With 30 variants in sizes 50 and 60 and connections from G ¼ to G ¾ this is the largest category in the series.
How a combination is built up
A combination is not a design of its own but the pre-assembled row of the individual devices on a shared connection set. The order is always coarse to fine: first the pre-filter (red), then the microfilter (blue), then the activated carbon filter (black). Each stage works exactly like its individual device – which is why the technical data are on the single-filter pages and not repeated on the combination.
Choosing the right combination
The question is which air quality is needed at the end of the line. VF – MF delivers oil-free air to particles 1 / oil 1 and is the usual choice for control air and tools. VF – MF – AF additionally removes oil vapour and odour (0.003 mg/m³) and is intended for food, painting and medical technology. MF – AF is the short version for installations that already have a pre-filter stage. Size and connection follow the flow; the version with a differential pressure gauge follows the question whether the filter change should be measured or scheduled.

Frequently asked questions
Why are there no technical data on the combination page?
Because ewo does not store them there – the combination inherits the values of its stages. For flow, filtration grade and residual oil the figures of the individual filters apply, which we list in the respective categories.
Can I extend a combination later?
Yes. The connection and wall mounting sets are available separately as accessories, for two and for three filters, depending on the size. Check the space in the longitudinal direction beforehand.
Is MF – AF enough without a pre-filter?
Only if the installation already pre-filters. Without a stage for rust and dust the microfilter clogs prematurely, and the carbon behind it receives oil that saturates it immediately.
