Claw Couplings for Drinking Water Applications
Drinking water is a foodstuff, and everything that touches it follows different rules than a workshop line. This branch gathers the 13 items explicitly intended for drinking-water applications. The overview of the water area is given by water fittings and irrigation equipment.
Dezincification-resistant CW617N brass
Eleven of the 13 items are made from CW617N brass. This alloy is dezincification-resistant: under the influence of water it releases no zinc and therefore stays dimensionally stable and harmless for years. Ordinary brass does not — which is why these items are kept apart and not mixed in with claw couplings and spray nozzles.
Why the material is not negotiable here
Sealing is uniformly NBR. Operating pressure is PN 25 bar, well above usual line pressure in buildings — the margin is deliberate, because pressure surges occur more often in drinking-water networks than in compressed-air ones. For site water with coarser requirements see construction fittings.

The six versions cover female threads G 3/8, G 1/2, G 3/4 and G 1 as well as G 1 male. That spans from the connection fitting at the service entry to the mobile draw-off point. The distinction matters: drinking-water suitability and hygienic suitability are not the same. Where aggressive cleaning agents are used regularly, or food contact goes beyond the water itself, the chrome steel versions under versions for strict hygiene requirements are the right choice.
