GEMÜ is a company founded in 1964 by Fritz Müller and family-run to this day, headquartered in Kupferzell, Germany, and considered a world market leader in valve, process and control technology for sterile processes. We are an authorised specialist dealer and stock around 130 product series with more than 44,000 configured variants – from the manual valve to the electrically actuated control valve.
Diaphragm valves and diaphragm seat valves
In a diaphragm valve only the diaphragm and the valve body touch the medium, which makes them the first choice in hygienic and aggressive applications. Our range of diaphragm valves is by far the largest: manually, pneumatically and electrically operated, plus the BioStar and CleanStar series for sterile processes. The diaphragm seat valves of the iComLine series combine the sealing principle of a diaphragm with the body of a seat valve.
Seat valves and butterfly valves
For switching and control duties in piping we supply seat valves in globe and angle seat versions, manual, pneumatic or with eSyDrive and eSyStep actuators. At larger nominal sizes butterfly valves are the more economical answer – among them the Edessa, Victoria and Tugela series, either with a bare shaft end or complete with an actuator.
Ball valves, non-return and pressure control valves
Ball valves suit neutral, aggressive or mechanically clean media and high operating pressures. Alongside them we stock non-return valves and flaps in metal and plastic as well as pressure control valves – pressure reducing, overflow and pressure retaining valves that keep conditions in the system stable.
Single-use valves for bioprocessing
Where cleaning and validation cost more than the component itself, single-use parts take over. The single-use valves of the SUMONDO series separate valve body and actuator: the media-contact part is replaced, the actuator stays. That avoids cross-contamination and saves cleaning validation.
Configuration, advice and spare parts
GEMÜ valves are configuration products: nominal size, connection type, body and diaphragm material, actuator version and control function together make up the part number. That is exactly where the 44,000-plus variants come from.
