Gemue 1272 Instrument sensor with 2-wire transmitter for DN 20 to DN 65 flowmeters
Gemue 1272 is an instrument sensor in 2-wire design (4–20 mA) for Gemue flowmeters with a magnetic float and is used for continuous flow monitoring. 7 versions are available.
4–20 mA in two-wire technology
The 1272 outputs the flow rate as an impressed current signal from 4 to 20 mA. In two-wire technology, supply and signal run over the same line — two cores instead of four, and over longer distances the current signal is less sensitive to interference than a voltage signal. A cable break is recognisable at 0 mA. It is fitted by clamping it onto the flowmeter.
800 series, resolution and CONEXO
The 1272 is intended for the 800 series, DN 20 to DN 65; for DN 10 to DN 25 of the 850 series there is Gemue 1273. The resolution is 55 or 100 contacts. One version carries a Harting HAN 7D connector with a mating connector supplied loose, another CONEXO with an integrated RFID chip for traceability. Matching valves can be found under diaphragm valves.
