    Turck Diffuse mode sensors

    The diffuse mode sensor needs no counterpart: it evaluates the light reflected by the object itself. That makes it the simplest and cheapest design, but it calls for attention to the colour and surface of the object. Energetic sensors react to the amount of returning light – dark objects are detected later than light ones. Sensors with background suppression instead measure the angle of the reflected beam and suppress everything beyond a set limit; they reliably detect even black objects in front of a light background. Turck supplies both principles with a fixed or adjustable cut-off point, via potentiometer, teach button or programmable connection.
