    This is about the analog signal: the transmitter power supply isolator feeds a 4…20 mA transmitter in the field and isolates its current signal galvanically from the controller, the temperature measuring amplifier converts the signal of a Pt100 or thermocouple into a standard current, and the analog signal isolator decouples two current loops without distorting the signal. What they share is that they remove hum loops and potential differences from the measuring chain – the most common cause of drifting readings in distributed plants.
