Pressure transmitters with a current output provide the measured pressure as an impressed 4…20 mA signal. This signal is insensitive to cable resistance and interference, which makes it the right choice for long cable runs in machines, hydraulic systems and process plants. Depending on the series, Turck uses a ceramic measuring cell (Al₂O₃) or a fully welded stainless steel metal cell; the metal cell works without seals and withstands high pressures and pressure peaks. Measuring ranges run from a few millibar to more than 1,000 bar, in relative and absolute versions. Housings made of stainless steel or stainless steel and plastic are sealed to IP67 and IP69K, and the process connection is available as a G, NPT, UNF, R or metric thread as well as Tri-Clamp. Connection is mainly via M12 connectors or DIN EN 175301-803 valve connectors.
