Retroreflective sensors
Turck Retroreflective sensors
The retroreflective sensor works with a reflector on the opposite side: emitter and receiver sit in one housing and only one cable has to be laid. That halves the mounting effort compared with a through-beam sensor and costs a little range. The polarising filter is decisive – it suppresses reflections from shiny objects such as films, sheet metal or cans that would otherwise be mistaken for the reflector. Turck offers polarised and non-polarised versions, variants for clear glass detection with coaxial optics and housings in plastic and metal up to IP69K. Matching reflectors and reflective films are supplied on request.
